Description of Action

The Administration recommends Commission consideration and approval to adjust the City’s solid waste Franchise Fee for Commercial customers to a level of 15% for service billings issued and collected on or after October 1, 2013.

Fiscal Impact/Cost Summary

Adjustment of the franchise fee would provide an estimated $90,000 in annual revenue to support the City’s roadway lighting maintenance and operating costs, street signage, and bridge & roadway repair costs.
